The Summer Skincare Guide for Women

Feel Confident in Your Skin This Summer

At different times of the year, our skin needs a little extra love and summer brings its own set of challenges.

Hormonal fluctuations and stress on top of dryness and dehydration, heat sensitivity and irritation from sunscreen or sweat can all impact our skin.

But it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Below is your natural, easy-to-follow guide to keep your skin healthy, glowing and beautifully cared for this summer , even on your busiest of days.

Cleanse well — especially in the evenings

Sweat, SPF and makeup can clog your pores, especially in hot weather. Choose a gentle but thorough cleanser to wash away the day and keep your skin clear and fresh.

Exfoliate gently

Our skin naturally sheds dead cells, but after the age of 40 this process slows down.

Gentle exfoliation (1–2 times a week) helps reveal fresher skin, brightens your complexion and allows your skincare products to work more effectively.

Avoid harsh scrubs and opt for something soothing and natural.

Use a cooling clay mask

A mineral-rich clay mask helps to draw out impurities, soothe irritation and gives the skin a refreshed glow.

Pop your mask in the fridge for five minutes before you use it . It feels incredibly cooling on warm, flushed skin.

Refresh with a hydrating mist

A face mist  is a summer essential. It hydrates, cools, and revitalises your skin throughout the day so its perfect for post-workouts, after being in the sun, or as a pick-me-up any time you need it !

Gua Sha from the fridge

Cool your gua sha tool in the fridge and use it to gently massage your face. This helps reduce puffiness, supports lymphatic drainage and gives a natural lift — all while soothing hot skin.

Just 3–5 minutes can make a big difference to how you look and feel.

Hydrate from within

What you drink shows up on your skin. Herbal infusions can hydrate, nourish, and help your skin glow from the inside out.

My free Herbal infusion drinks guide on my website is full of refreshing, skin-friendly recipes — perfect for summer.

Give your feet some love

Our feet work hard in summer sandals! Try this soothing ritual:

  1. Soak your feet in cool water with a handful of fresh mint or rosemary.

  2. Pat dry and massage with a soothing balm

Try a Cool Oat Bath

Warm weather can trigger dry, itchy, or eczema-prone skin. A cool bath with oats (just pop some in a muslin bag or clean sock) helps to soothe inflammation and moisturise your skin naturally.

Great for calming sun-exposed skin, too.

I hope that you can use at least one of these tips to support your skin during the summer months.
